CUSTOM ORDERS FOR SILVER HALIDE HOLOGRAMS
As you may well know, the generally accepted price for such hologram services starts at about $4000 for basic setup, plus price for individual copies, which is also quite expensive. That makes the use of holography out-of-range for many private clients and small businesses.
We at our Gallery have had many requests for something less expensive, so we have been working hard for the last two years to find the right solution. And we found it!

PRICING - low Canadian Dollars! (set-up fee + copies + shipping)
- SET UP FEE: Basic set up fee is a one-time charge for the costs of preparing your subject and for the shooting and mastering. This fee includes also a test copy for your approval. The basic (non-refundable) charge for size 4x5" is $ 480. Additional charges may be required for multi-channel holograms, and depending on complexity of the shooting (you will be informed in advance if a surcharge is necessary). You can order smaller holograms, and gang them on 4x5" sheet. Minimum image size 1x1".
- COPIES: Once you have received and approved the test shot, we will shoot the number of copies you require. Minimum order is only 200 film copies 4x5".
- FILM COPIES 4x5": 200 - 499 pcs: $8 each; 500-999 pcs: $7 each; 1000-2000 pcs: $6 each; more - call for quotation.
SHIPPING: We have to charge you for return shipping of your subject, and for shipping of ready holograms. The cost depends on how heavy your subject is, if you require courier shipping, insurance, etc.. We will let you know these costs after initial consultation.
PAYMENT: We require the set up fee in advance, and payment in full for the holograms when you place the order for copies. Once you have approved the test shot and placed your order, we cannot accept any cancellations or returns. All prices quoted in Canadian dollars. (Tax extra, where applicable.)
SUBJECT TO BE HOLOGRAPHED
WHAT WE NEED: The object to be holographed must be rigid. The best materials are wood, metal or ceramic. Items made of paper, cardboard or wax would likely be unsuitable. Objects that are light colored (white, silver) work best. Or we can paint the subject with water soluble paint. The subject must fit into the "hologram window". The hologram image will be the size of the object, image cannot be enlarged or reduced. In other words, the subject must be slightly smaller than the hologram you require. Practical depth for image size 4x5" is up to 5". Subjects with less depth and closer to the film plane will show up better than anything further away.
If you are not able to supply us with a suitable model, we can have one produced for you. The average cost is usually about $ 600+.
LOGOS: We can take your black & white camera ready artwork, such as a logo, and create a 3-D model of it. Cost for simple logos usually is about $450+.
FINAL PRODUCT
COLOR: The hologram image will be gold/orange in tone.
LIGHTING: The holograms are best lit by a single pin spot from above. Light which casts a well defined shadow will show the image at its best. Other light sources which do not produce a shadow, such as fluorescents, tend to produce a fuzzy image.
TIME FRAME: Due to co-operative work of several studios, making your order may take about 8-10 weeks. It also depends on complexity of your order and quantity of required copies. We will discuss the above after seeing your order.
