We are pleased to present
the group of European holographers:
Detlev Abendroth
Gudrun Sott
Dirk Beyer
This is the team of holographers creating one of the best quality holograms
made on Silver Halide film and glass plates.
Sharpness and brightness of their
images are simply hard to believe, even after seeing the originals!
Recently we asked them, what they would like to say about their work,
and this is what they said:
"First, we'll give you a short description of our staff:
- Dirk Beyer, physicist, responsible for electronic development, software
and hardware of computer generated holograms.
- Ralf Jakobowski, industrial designer, conception and lay out, especially
for advertisement.
- Piet Kremer, communication designer, photography, reprography and
conception of exhibitions.
- Mario Liedtke, making of models, lighting-systems for holograms.
- Detlev Abendroth, the most important one. The holographer and all
what belongs to it (details would turn our letter into a book).
- Gudrun Sott, Administrative side of our activities, sales, etc.

Much of the holograms we've made last years, are custom orders which we are allowed
to sell on the open market - as for example the 'High Tech Art'.
You
may drill a hole in the center of the ball-bearing, preferably in a film-hologram,
and put in a clock mechanism, to have the unique holographic wall clock. This
hologram was made to present a new clock work mechanism of a well known clock
manufacturer...
...But Detlev has also made some holograms - or, to say better - he tried to find
the vision of a communication form that only can be realized by holography.
It began in 1985 with the hologram Axiom, Phase I, a glass hologram, 30 x 40 cm.
With the help of a double exposure, Detlev let an event go in two directions at
the same time (depending from the point of view) the conversion of cubical objects
into spherical objects and reverse.
To realize more ideas, he came quickly to the bounds of possibility - because
it was very difficult, nearly impossible to make the models.
We worked for a long time - especially Dirk Beyer - to create a system for making
computer generated reflection holograms without any limitation in the design.
Since the middle of 1995 we have it, and it allows us to melt all imaginables
- video, photography, created models, computer animation - to any symbiosis.
Now, Detlev continues his series of axioms. As every other artist, also a holographer
needs sketches for his work.
Therefore Detlev makes his sketches for the Axiom, Phase II in the form of holograms.
The first is the hologram III Situation 1. The sketches are the situations. There
will be four situations in the Axiom, Phase II . They should be ready soon."
We plan to display the final result - the Axioms - on some later date.
We are also pleased to say, that we have in our Gallery several holograms made by this
excellent team, including famous "Computer Mouse".
Mentioned here "High Tech Art" is also available for sale, in very limited quantities.
